This week was my wife’s birthday. So, I wanted to give her a picture that would make her smile.

She has a lot of affection for llamas and does a great impersonation of one. (If you ever get to meet her at a party, ask her to make the llama face for you. It is awesome!)

So, I decided to paint her a friendly llama. I gave it a black outline and, in the process, learned that it really helps to use really thin paint and a liner brush to do that kind of line work.

I painted this with acrylic on a canvas that is stretched over the edge. So, I used all the edges in my scene.
