I’m practicing a little more with the fat pen today. I like the variety of lines I can get from it.

I tried using it to do some shading here. I’m not so happy with the way the shading turned out on her face, but for a freehand drawing, I think it’s pretty good.

I used the pen to practice drawing noses. Notice how, in a full-on side view, the nostril hole does not touch either the line of the septum or the face-side curve of the fleshy part of the nostril.

I also practiced more hair lines. It is amazing just hoe difficult it can be to draw a good, curved line!

I did one drawing with a young model and a fine-point pen. I like challenging myself to do it freehand and without any erasing!
