Night Shade Apple

Playing off my apple from yesterday and using my Surface Pro 4 and Sketchable again, I did this drawing.

I’d like to get a little more contrast between the branch and the sky, but overall, it was a satisfying experience to paint.

I started with the sky. I used the spray paint tool and a large brush to paint the background color of the sky. I then used a smudging tool to blend the colors.

With the background done, I added small, white dots for the stars. I went over some of the stars with a white that wasn’t quite as opaque to give some of them that smudged look.

With that done, I added another layer and drew in the apple and leaves. I used an eraser tool to remove some of the black for the highlights on the leaves, branch and apple.

I’m liking this!
