I couldn’t resist the challenge of portraying this beautiful woman. I simplified the patterns on her skirt and apron (perhaps too much), but I liked the way I was able to capture the designs in her scarf. I also started to add more paint spatter. It’s interesting to me to see the way the splatter lends a painterly sense of freedom to the image.
